This is a cast of a Hawk's leg and foot; an exact replica of the original, produced in recycled 925 sterling silver, using the age old technique of lost wax casting. There is a bizarre story behind the Hawk and the Dove. Both bird's were found dead next to each other in a friend's garden; obviously a fight had ensued but the gentle Dove managed to kill his much stronger counterpart before falling victim to injury. It was a surreal scene. Dressed up or down, this is a sublimely beautiful pendant. The Hawk is a symbol of light, power, watchfulness and as messengers, along with it's spiritual symbolism of wisdom and intuition. The detail in the casting is quite exquisite. It is hallmarked and measures 9.5cm x 0.85cm. It comes on an 18", 2.5mm Silver  Belcher or a 21", 5mm Black leather braided cord.
