For the purposes of the hallmarking laws, this piece has to be marketed as 'white metal' because there are two elements within the bracelet that are a mixture of metals which do not contain 80% silver overall. The two pieces in question are the end fastenings; the T-bar and the link at the opposite end, both containing a brass/silver mix, therefore the piece is not hallmarked. However, please note, the other links within the bracelet are 925 Recycled Silver. The links have been made using both the Sand Casting method as well as Granulation, the melting of scrap silver to form an acquired shape.
It is a beautifully organic piece, inspired by the wreckage from Cornish boats that have sunk or run a ground; the rusty bits of metal strewn upon the shores, all with a story to tell. It is a weighty piece that hangs well around the wrist. A statement that can be worn daily or on an evening out, the blue/green enamel hinting at the colours of the sea. It measures 22cm (8.5") in length and weighs 62g. As with all my pieces, they will not be highly polished and the silver will tarnish over time, but in my view this is a bonus.

With most of my pieces I do not aim to produce highly polished creations. The Silver will tarnish over time, but if this is not a look you like there is lots of information available on 'at home' methods for cleaning, much of which can be found in your kitchen cupboards, or alternatively a ready made solution can be purchased.
