This is a great present for a family member, friend, work colleague, or given the title, for anyone in a caring profession. It really is an homage to all the health care workers, from nurses and care assistants to those looking after a loved one at home.
This is an altered children's board book, collaged with vintage ephemera and stained papers, old book plates, some textiles, elastoplast and bandage. There is some mark marking throughout the book, using watercolour, ink and pencil. The vintage photos are of women in caring professions, some posing, some carrying out their duties. I can only hope I have done them all justice and made this book a prized possession for the keeper.
